Since its start of production in 1921, local manufacturing in Germany has become a crucial element in Cosaco’s international production network, contributing significantly to Cosaco’s profitable and globally balanced growth.

The latest modernization of production facilities aimed on boosting production output and improving energy efficiency. The production site has a closed loop wastewater treatment system underlining our commitment to environment and responsible growth.

The plant has three areas: production facilities, research laboratory and quality control, packing and storage facilities.

At present, the Hamburg plant produces copper hydroxide, copper oxychloride, copper carbonate and cuprous oxide.

Cosaco Plant Houston, USA.

The Cosaco production site located in Houston, USA started operations in 1961 and has constantly expanded its production since then. The production site has always been a driver for innovation in production efficiency and advanced formulations of copper hydroxide products mainly used in plant protection.

Cosaco is ensuring that the Houston production site will maintain its leading position in copper salt production. In 2020 the 5-year plan to revamp large parts of operations has been adopted. The focus is on expanding production capacity as well as introduction of smart production capabilities allowing Cosaco additional flexibility to adjust its production capabilities across its production network.

As part of our responsible approach to environment Cosaco is committed to reduce significantly its impact on environment by replacing plastic and introducing a paper based packing solution in 2022.

Additionally in 2022 Houston plant has expanded its production by a brand new production line, producing Basic Copper Carbonate, in order to serve the wood protection and animal nutrition industry in the USA and other countries.

At present, the Houston plant produces copper hydroxide and copper carbonate.
